Using MITRE ATT&CK at home¶

The MITRE ATT&CK framework documents the tactics and techniques adversaries use at each stage of an attack: getting in, executing, persisting, and exfiltrating. It was designed for enterprise security teams, but the underlying patterns apply at home too.

This section maps those tactics to the home context, identifies where defences typically have gaps, and suggests practical responses. The goal is not comprehensive coverage but enough visibility to avoid being the path of least resistance.

A map of the attack surface is more useful than a checklist written once and ignored.
